Re: Road Trip!
"updates with pics upon our return xoxo" fail...
last weekend dae and i went on a road trip down to san diego with the cousins and their rugrats. ends up we were having too much fun and forgot to photograph the complimentary continental breakfast, poolside, carlsbad, phil's bbq, kings fish...
but we did manage to scrounge a few pictures from legoland.

sh.
just say no...
to e-books!
I get the convenience and eco[+nomic]-friendliness of them but ultimately it comes down to the experience of reading- of going to a library or the book store, smelling the pages, turning the pages, finding bugs in the used book(although you may be able to find bugs in e-books also), utilizing the gift of trees as a means to provide perspective/imagination/intelligence, being able to see how far you have to go or how far you've come, dog-ears, handing down the frog and toad, roald dahl, and shel silversteins you bought at your 2nd grade book fair to your children, snuggling in bed reading bedtime stories and placing a bookmark when you fall asleep, or lose your place in the book cuz you fell asleep.... the printed ink on paper, the binding, the sewing, the thread, the type, the handiwork.
this is my 2am rant.
and here is a better articulated source of whats going on in the world of books.
